Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Toukir Ahmed Rony, a sole trader in the United Kingdom trading as RightUni (“we”). By creating an account you accept them. Browsing universities without an account is free and needs no agreement.

What RightUni is

A free organiser for students applying to universities abroad: a university directory, your own application tracker, an end-to-end encrypted document vault, and the optional Students like you feature. RightUni is free. There are no paid features, ads or sales calls.

Information only — not immigration advice

• Country steps, links and figures are general information copied from official pages on the date shown. Rules change. Always check the official page (for the UK, GOV.UK) or an authorised immigration adviser.
• RightUni never tells you whether you’re eligible for a visa or will get one, and nothing in it is legal or immigration advice.
• University details come from public data sources and may be out of date or wrong. Check with the university. You can report a wrong detail on its page.

Not affiliated with any university or agency

RightUni isn’t connected to, approved by or paid by any university, application portal or agency. We never apply for you or send documents for you. Always confirm offers, CAS details and fees directly with the university.

Your account

• You must be 16 or over to create an account, and 18 or over to use Students like you.
• You sign in with your email and a password. Keep your password to yourself and your email account secure; you’re responsible for what happens in RightUni while you’re signed in.
• Your vault passphrase and recovery key are yours alone. We can’t see or reset them. If you lose both, your documents can’t be recovered — you can only reset the vault.

Your content

What you add stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it and show it back to you (and, for your Students like you profile, to show it to students who chose the same university). Only upload documents you’re allowed to keep. You can export or delete your data at any time.

Acceptable use

• Don’t use RightUni to sell services, recruit students for an agency, scam, harass or impersonate anyone. Agency accounts aren’t allowed.
• Don’t try to get into other accounts, overload the service, copy the directory in bulk or get around the limits.
• Follow the community rules in Students like you.

We may hide content, limit features or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it’s reasonable we’ll tell you why.

The service

We work hard to keep RightUni available and your data safe, and we back it up every night. We may change or stop features, and we’ll give you notice and time to export your data before closing RightUni. Because the service is free and you control what you upload, keep your own copies of important documents.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected. We aren’t responsible for decisions made by universities, governments or agencies, or for content on sites we link to.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings, which deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.

Changes and law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
