Community rules

Students like you helps students from the same country who chose the same university find each other. These rules keep it safe. Breaking them can get your profile hidden or your account banned.

Who can join

• Students aged 18 or over, planning to study at the universities they show themselves at.
• One profile per person, in your own name. No agencies, recruiters, consultants or businesses.

Not allowed

• Selling anything, advertising services, or recruiting for an agency — including “free help” that leads to fees.
• Asking anyone for money, documents, passport or bank details, or offering “guaranteed” visas, scholarships or places.
• Fake profiles, pretending to be someone else, or pretending to be from a university or RightUni.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content or anything that makes someone feel unsafe.
• Sharing someone else’s details without their permission.
• Putting links or phone numbers in your bio. Use the link fields, which only accept your own Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or WhatsApp.

Stay safe

• Never send money or documents to someone you met here.
• Meet in public places, and check accommodation offers in person or through the university before paying anything.
• Confirm anything about offers, CAS or fees directly with your university.

Report and block

• Tap the flag on a student’s card to report them (agent or selling, scam, fake profile, harassment, inappropriate, or something else) and/or block them.
• Blocking hides you from each other straight away. Unblock any time in Settings.
• Each student can report a profile once. Reports are private: the other student isn’t told who reported them.

What happens after a report

• When three different students report a profile, it’s hidden automatically until we review it.
• We review reports and then dismiss them, keep the profile hidden, or ban the account. A banned account can’t sign in again.
• If your profile was hidden and you think it’s a mistake, email hello@setstech.co.uk.

Your control

Only students whose own profile is visible and who chose the same university can see you. You can hide your profile or leave Students like you at any time; leaving deletes your profile.
